Clinical Home Sleep Study Service (SOMNOtouch Resp)
Bypass Hospital Waitlists in Your Own Bed
Take control of your sleep health without spending months on an NHS waitlist or making inconvenient hospital visits. Our clinical Home Sleep Study brings professional-grade Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) diagnostics directly to your bedroom. Using the NHS-standard SOMNOtouch Resp device, you can undergo an accurate 1-to-2-night sleep assessment in total comfort, completely free from the disruption of a clinical environment.
Medical-Grade Precision Meets Expert Analysis
Equipped with the SOMNOtouch Resp system—the same gold-standard diagnostic tool trusted by UK sleep laboratories—this test tracks key vital parameters, including airflow, blood oxygen levels, heart rate, chest effort, and body position. Rather than relying solely on automated "black-box" algorithms, your raw sleep data is thoroughly evaluated and manually scored by an accredited sleep physiologist to ensure maximum diagnostic integrity.
Tailored Diagnostic Options & Effortless Process
We offer two comprehensive testing packages designed to meet your specific clinical symptoms:
-
Adult Home Sleep Study (£179): Complete OSA diagnostic testing covering all core respiratory, oximetry, and body position parameters.
-
Home Sleep Study + PLM (£219): Everything in Option 1, with added analysis for Periodic Limb Movements (PLM) to detect involuntary leg twitching or restless legs during sleep.
With door-to-door courier delivery and pickup included, you will receive a fully transparent, easy-to-understand clinical sleep report within 3 to 5 business days of returning the device.

Frequently Asked Questions
Schedulling a Test
Just for simplicity. We don't know exactly when you will go to bed, so it's as easy to just call it 7.00 pm. The device will turn on automatically so this "appointment" time won't affect your study, no matter what time you go to bed.
It takes us a little time to get the device to your home using a courier service. Same day deliveries are prohibitively expensive and would double the price of the test. The appointment system prevents you from making a booking that we can't then fulfil, giving us time to ensure a reliable and dependable service to your door.
Shipping Info
Your report will be sent in .pdf format to the email address you have given us when ordering the test.
A courier will deliver the device to your home on the day of your test. It will be collected the following day, again by courier, or the next day if you have opted for the second test.
It's important that there is someone at home and available to accept the device on the day of your test as the courier will need a signature (or other COVID-19 approved proof of delivery such as a photo). We can't ship the device to a different address, and if the device is returned undelivered because there is no one at home, we will have to deduct the transport cost from your refund.
If you know that this method of delivery is going to cause a problem for you, please get in touch with us before you book the test, and we will see if we can find a way that works for both of us.
Using the SOMNOTOUCH Resp
Absolutely. The inner workings are certainly very complicated, but using it is very simple. Full instructions are enclosed with the device, and instructional videos are available if you need more help.
No, that's entirely up to you, but we do recommend you avail of the second study. A small but significant number of people are a little nervous going to bed 'wired up' and it can interfere with the usual sleeping pattern. Very few people are nervous the second night, and doing two nights really increases the chances of getting a good recording.
You don't need to turn the device on. In fact it's better not to try turning it on just in case you accidentally turn it off! It has been programmed before dispatch to start automatically, either for 1 or 2 nights as you prefer. All you need to do is attach the device and its sensors, get yourself nice and comfy, and have a good night's sleep. It even turns off automatically in the morning, so no need to worry about that either. You can see the 'setting it up' video here
You will see light from a red LED in the finger probe. The screen does not light up because it can cause a disturbance, and will drain the battery more quickly.
Yes this is normal. The screen stays dark throughout the study. This avoids disturbing your sleep, and helps battery life. The finger probe will have a red light on when the study is in progress.
That's OK. The time in bed is what counts for the study. Any recording made before or after you were in bed is discarded and will not influence the results.
